" I have always enjoyed drawing since
young, the process of capturing a
subject makes you study it thoroughly
and unveils many viewing angles. It can
be very interesting!
When you try to paint the clouds in the
sky, you suddenly notice the immense
range of colors.
When you draw birds, you get to
appreciate the elegance of the curves
and lines to its form.
When you try to capture a mood, you will
be impressed at how a stroke laid can
influence the outcome."

art in my life
"I think it's quite difficult to tune out art
from life, it is actually so accessible to
everyone.
I enjoy listening to music, visit
exhibitions, catch performing arts or
go on painting trips with my friends.
I think the reason I like to engage art
in my lifestyle is because art usually
speaks of originality, and this adds
diversity to life.
You can't get bored with new things :-)
When you are doing something you
enjoyed so much, stress is simply out
of the picture."
"Art helps me appreciates creativity, in a way that makes me more receptive to new ideas."

"The comics and the story books'
illustrations that got me started when I
was young. I was (still am) captivated
with the visuals - from simple strokes of
lines to the myriad colors hidden in the
pages.
I started drawing with pen and color
pencils on papers (walls were
discouraged). Then I began to draw on a
more serious note after I went through a
collection of art materials on the old
masters at my secondary school library,
I was mersmerized with the vivid
paintings by Delacroix and Turner.
My style evolved from experience and
accidents during artworks creation, the
selection and filtering process is guided
by my taste and character.
I preferred palette knife when doing
oil-painting because it's easier to clean
and reload colors, it also gives me the
unique sharpness and textures I want to
achieve. My paintings are usually of
simple subjects, that is because I like
things uncomplicated."

"My two pet rabbits have been the
subject of my recent works.
What particularly strikes me is their
affection for each other and the precious
companionship which is so endearing
yet at the same time melancholy -
knowing it cannot last forever.
My paintings either reflect that closeness
or capture the snapshots of their curious
moments."
