Chankerk is a very dedicated and friendly art instructor who always inspires his participants. He has more
than 12 years experience in conducting art courses, workshops and lessons in Singapore including at
regional leading arts academy such as Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. This intensive involvement has
enable him to develop an unique and creative teaching method, which allows participants to understand
easily those in-depth and abstract concept of painting without feeling puzzled. Participants are allowed to
learn the in-depth fundamentals with enough guidance and eventually discover and develop their own
painting style at their own pace in the long run.

Ping Ping
Award winning professional artist, graduate from Nanyang Academy
of Fine Arts in 1996 and from the University of Central England in
Birmingham with BA (Hons) in 2001. Experienced creative workshop
instructor. Ping Ping is versatile in using different mediums like oil,
acrylic, charcoal, pencil and mixed medium. Her professional
training in both Fine Art and Interior Design has provided Ping Ping
a solid ability in handling both space and abstract patterns of her
paintings. Her painting style incorporates bold and decisive painting
knife strokes with delicate pattern and colors.
Yeo Chee Kiong
Yeo Chee Kiong is a professional sculptor who has been practicing
both traditional figurative sculpture and contemporary 3-D artwork for
more than ten years. His research interest is on the ambiguous
relation between object and space in the practice of contemporary
visual art. He is MFA graduate from Glasgow School of Art (GSA),
Scotland. During his studies in the GSA, he received the Dr. Mary
Doughty Smith Scholarship (2003, GSA), John Kinross Scholarship
(2003, Royal Scottish Academy), and Award of Commendation (2004,
GSA) at the end of the MFA Programme. On his return to Singapore, he
also won the Grand Prize of 2nd CDL Singapore Sculpture Award
2005. He has extensive teaching experiences in both traditional and
contemporary sculpture practice. Currently, he is part-time lecturer at
the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in sculpture and adjunct lecturer of
the Ngee Ann Polytechnic in drawing. He is also the current President
of Sculpture Society (Singapore).

Hwee Khoon
Hwee Khoon was born in Malacca in1972. He
received his formal fine art training in Nanyang
Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in 1994. He was
trained in watercolor, chinese brush painting and
calligraphy from the tender age of 10 years old.
He had won many national painting competitions and
awards in Malaysia, he was awarded by the Malaysia
Institute of Arts Bursary Award in 1989 .In Singapore,
he was presented with the Della Butcher Award for
Excellence in Painting in 1994. As for USA, he was
awarded with the Liquitex Excellence Student of Art
Competition University Award by Binney & Smith in
1993.
He had been invited to participate in many
International Calligraphy and Painting Exhibitions. In
Beijing-China, he participated in the Grand Old
Masters’ Painting in New Expression Arts Exhibition in
the Forbidden City Palace Museum in 1996. In Seoul-
Korea, he participated in the Exhibition of the
International Calligraphy in 1989 and also Korea-
Malaysia Chinese Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition in
1989 and 1991. In Malaysia, he exhibited in the 100
Calligraphy All Around Malaysia Group Exhibition
Show. In Singapore, he was one of the four artists
invited by Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts to Singapore
Istana for demonstration at the Chinese Lunar New
Year Garden Party Event in 2000.
Hwee Khoon has been conducting art workshops
since 1995 with experience in conducting art
workshops for Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. He is
now a fulltime Chinese Calligraphy and Arts Instructor.

Wen Shan
After graduated with a diploma in fine art, Wen Shan spent 2 years in
Paris to learn French and major in life drawing. He passed Test de
Connexion de Francais and mastered the fine art of life drawing at
Atelier Beaux-Arts de Mairie de Paris. The capital of the arts offered him
ample opportunities to meet artists from different parts of the world and
to be inspired by the dynamic arts scene.
As an instructor, Wen Shan's primary role is to inspire and maintain
participants' interest in art. He believes that critical thinking, self-critique
and learning from mistakes are important approaches in learning art.
Wen Shan offers guidance to learners in developing their own style and
statements through self searching and appreciating masterpieces.
To sharpen his sensitivity of seeing, Wen Shan keeps his hands busy
with still life, portrait and life drawing.
