HAPPINESS is doing what he LOVES

William started painting under the guidance of pioneer artist Tan Puay Tee
at the age of 10. Through his mentoring William learned the discipline of
colour and form. He first started out painting and observing nature through
watercolour. Through the years he has experimented with various medium
but nature is a theme that has never left his canvas. It appears always in
various guises.

William divides his time now equally between painting, work and the
appreciation of cats. Other than working as Account Manager, he is also a
professional pedigree cat breeder. He has been breeding American
Shorthair Cats here in Singapore, under the Prefix, THE HEDONIST for the
past five years. A programme to better the line of these beautiful cats locally.

For Wiiliam, the border between painting, work and cats are blurred. They
are all connected to each other in a certain way, like all things in nature.

Wiiliam has a preoccupation with LOVE, and we will see it in almost every
piece of his work. LOVE is everywhere, up in the trees, by the pond,
basking in the moon beam... LOVE is the name of his cat and his muse.
Seen through its eyes, the world within his canvas is fantastic, wonderful
and bold. It's nature is both domestic and wild.

William's medium of choice is acrylic.
