Tseuy Mei works as a multimedia graphic designer for her full time job. She enjoys
doodling with ballpoint pen on paper,and has been attending oil painting course for
three years. She hopes to sharpen her observation of drawing and colors through
formal training. Soon she was led her into exploring the more abstract presentation of
her chosen themes about 2 years ago. Acrylic, collage and mixed media is her prime
mediums for time being.

Tsuey Mei is inspired by Květa Pacovská for her bright colours, and lines that reminds
her about childhood wonder. Others like Paul Klee and traditional Chinese peasant's
art have also attracted her attention in one way or another. Tseuy Mei is capable of
creating a semi-realistic imaginative world derived from the inspiration of paintings’
pictorial elements. Normally she initiates a painting without any pre-determination,
accidents and allows mistake to happen, instead of rigidly controlling what she wants
to achieve, she would rather let her sub-conscious mind take over her creative process.
With her musical training background, music also plays an important part in her art
creations. Tseuy Mei prefers to inject feeling of musical rhythm into her pictorial
composition through smart progressive division of her pictures into smaller parts.

Tseuy Mei’s long term goal is to create artworks that reflect truly from her subconscious
mind, instead of a beautiful painting just to please others.
