Day 1 Singapore – Siem Reap
- Depart Singapore on Silkair flight MI622 at 0840, arrive Siem Reap at 0950.
- Singapore and Malaysian passport holders do not require visas; other
nationalities can receive visa on arrival (be sure to bring 2 passport photos with
you).
- Meet our representative, who will assist you with transfer to the hotel for check-
in.
- In the afternoon, visit Artisans D'Angkor, a workshop set up to provide training
and opportunity for the poor, disadvantaged communities to revitalize the
handicraft industry - stone and wood carving, silverwork, silkweaving, and
laquerware - the standard of work produced here is among the best in
Southeast Asia. Then visit other galleries in Siem Reap.
Day 2 Angkor Wat
- Drive out to Angkor Wat at dawn to watch the sunrise, and remain for a picnic
breakfast.
- As the crowds return to their hotels, we remain to enjoy the magnificence of
Angkor Wat in peace and quite. Your guide will walk you through the bas-reliefs
which stretch for almost a kilometer, before continuing to the upper levels of
the inner sanctuary, up to the pinnacle of the temple.
- Spend the entire day at Angkor Wat to paint and sketch.
Day 3 Angkor Thom
- Today visit the immense walled city Angkor Thom, starting with a guided tour
from the intricate bridge serving as a causeway into the city; the Terrace of the
Leper King; Terrace of elephants; the Baphuon and finally, the enigmatic Bayon
with its famous giant Buddha faces.
- Spend the entire day at AngkorThom to paint and sketch
Day 4 Siem Reap - Temple Tour
- Morning visit Ta Prohm, left as it was 'discovered' by Henri Mouhout in 1860,
with the jungle slowly strangling the surviving stones.
- Afternoon visit Banteay Srei, the jewel in the crown of Angkor-era sculpture.
The elaborate and intricate carvings at this temple are the finest in Cambodia ,
and are a high-water mark in Khmer sculpture.
- End the day watching sunset over the rice fields from the royal crematorium of
Pre Rup, a classic view of the Cambodian countryside.
Day 5 Siem Reap – Singapore
- Free morning at leisure.
- Afternoon transfer to the airport for departure on Silkair flight MI633 at 1435.
