Zak Yeo
London trained professional artist.
Winner of Melvill Nettleship Prize in Fine
University College London. The subject
a satirical and self-mocking approach
towards modern life. By translating his
relationship with society into art,  Zak
hopes to be able to engage the viewers
in constructing and projecting their
narrative upon the painting. A stage is
set up for the viewers to play different
roles in the painting based on their
individual code of appropriate ethics and
subjective moral dilemmas they face:
Ugly versus beautiful, disapproving but
mesmerizing, accepting yet disbelieving.

Warren Benedict Khong

Born and currently based in Singapore, Warren Khong
graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art: Painting and
Drawing from the University of Huddersfield, UK and
the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore in 2009.

Khong is fascinated with the eternal idea of Beauty;
specifically, the ideal of Beauty that is attributed to the
feminine face. Influences reminiscent of manga,
anime and the ‘Superflat’ in Japanese culture inform
his aesthetics, and Khong’s practice engages with the
manifold manifestations of this ideal through the use
of text and the highly plastic mangasque imagery.
However, desiring to move away from the pictorial
fetish, he has recently been experimenting with the
use of minimalistic text-as-image and enjoys the
strange dichotomy of his current practice.
